Yeah, Millar basically owns Rivera. Small sample size I know, but 6-for-13, OBP of .500, SLG of .769, for an OPS of 1.269. Not to mention the Walk, and the huge HBP in the mid-September game (the one where Miguel Cairo hit the deep fly to Manny, rounded the bases, and was all confused when no one high-fived him).
Good for him, and good luck, unless we're playing them. His clubhouse personality would bring together ANY team.
ReplyDeleteI know his numbers weren't good last year, but I did like that guy...except for the TV commercials...
ReplyDeleteAnd while Dave Roberts will always be remembered for the steal, it all started with Millar and what should be known as the Walk.

ReplyDelete...but while I hate admitting stuff like this, I'd be lying if I said his sudden dropoff in power in 2005 didn't make me a bit suspicious.
ReplyDeleteWas that Elvis who sang something about "Suspicious Minds?" I think there is no need to worry.
