Well, we know he has brought his temper.

Lets hope Tavarez has brought the same results from the last 3 years. I know we notice these things more because it is "our" team, but for crying out loud, I just want to NOT be a soap opera.

  1. Yeah. And this coming the day after the Beckett thing. And a week or so after Schilling blamed the Pirates batter for getting hit in the head.

  4. Yes, but Tavarez was responding to being pushed. He's a hothead, no doubt about that...A normal tempered person might have shrugged it off...but then again, how many times do you see someone shoved in baseball and there is no retaliation?

  5. He better be damn good, because his antics will prove costly if there is any retaliation to our sane players. He is clearly INSANE.

  6. Man, I wish they could just have this guy on the bench because he is bad-ass...

One of the most aggressive peacemakers in the skirmish was Red Sox third baseman Trent Durrington. The former Australian rugby player dove into the pile and pulled out the much larger Jonny Gomes.
“Gomes was being aggressive, so I grabbed him in a headlock,” Durrington said. “Once it happens, it’s just a hold-on session, a bit of a wank, really. You just want to make sure whoever’s on the bottom is not getting cheap-shotted, so you try to get your head in there and burrow.”

  7. That's awesome. From here on out Gomes will be known as Jonny "Bit of a Wank" Gomes.
