OMG OMG OMG WORLD SERIES GAME 1

Anyone else online? Or will this be another "Earl by himself" games?

  1. Beckett strikes out the leadoff man Taveras in 4 pitches.

  2. Comes back from 3-0 to strike out The Other Matsui. Takes 7 pitches to do it.

Buzzes Holliday with a pitch inside. The fans cheer - that's not necessary.

  3. Makes Holliday look stupid.

Strikes out the side in 15 pitches.

  4. You know what's awesome? Not hearing "cleveland rocks!" anymore.

  5. You know what's awesomer? Pedroia drilling Francis's 2nd pitch over the Green Monster. 1-0 Sox.

  6. Youk doubles. Takes 3 pitches in doing so.

I'm worried. They're not being patient at all. Francis not having to throw too many pitches.

  7. During Ortiz's at-bat, McCarver says someone "hates on base percentage". Who's he talking about?

  8. I have the bad feeling no one will answer my question. I hate you all.

  9. Ortiz moves up the runner, but Manny singles Youk in, with the infield in.

    2-0 Sox.

  10. Umpire Ed Montague with a wide strike zone. Though the Fox strike zone graphic thingie seems tight.

  11. Drew singles in Manny. Francis not looking too sharp. 3-0.

The Rockies pitching coach is named Bob Apodaca. That's a cool name.

  12. Lugo makes the third out, barely.

Okay, good start to the game.

  13. "Apodaca" sounds like some weird South American mammal, like "capybara" or alpaca".

  14. Beckett fans Helton for his 4th K.

  15. Streak over - Atkins hammers Beckett's first pitch, gets a double.

Off the bat it looked like a HR - and would've been had the green monster fans had their way. Some leaning out to pull a Maier. Nice job guys.

  16. No problem - strike out Hawpe.

  17. Tulowitzski (?) gets a double of his own. 3-1. They don't look quite as pathetic against Beckett as they did in the 1st.

  18. Gets the 3rd out on a non-strikeout.

  19. 2nd inning: Youk with a 2-out walk, Manny doubles him home. 4-1 sox.

  20. Manny with a nice grab of a well-hit Taveras flyball.

    Beckett with a perfect 3rd.
