Aw, crap.

So, any guesses as to the number of times Buck or McCarver bring up Manny's comments ("who cares") tonight? I'm getting angry at them already, and game time's not for another 9+ hours.

[For the record, (1) it's true, the world will not actually end if the Red Sox lose, (2) anyone who thinks a guy with an OPS over 1.5 truly "doesn't care" is a moron, and (3) "it's not the end of the world" is probably the exact right attitude the team needs to take if they're going to win. If they press tonight, they're doomed.]

  1. I agree on every single point!

BTW... I know this is last minute but I just found out myself.

X will be in town (JP) tonight. Any interest in meeting up?

Earl are you still in Finlandia?

  3. Yes, still in F-land.

In Helsinki I stayed in a hotel next door to the NMKY. It was AWESOME.

  7. Yeah, the press is annoying. It is one quote taken out of a long speech he gave them...He also said he would trade his records in a second for another WS win...Ridiculous.

Come on...Just get the series back to Fenway.

  10. Sabathia again doesn't have his "best" stuff... but neither does Beckett..

    Sox must take advantage.

  11. Here we go, Buck and McCarver go off on Manny endlessly. To their credit, they don't make a big deal about the quote. But they still bring up his baserunning blunder AFTER Lowell's SO makes it a moot point.

  12. I don't care if Ellsbury is left-handed. Crisp is worthless right now, and Lugo, too...

  13. Yeah, I don't understand why he's getting no playing time.

Beckett settled down after the 1st - as soon as his curve entered the mix.

    More runs, please.

  14. Okay, so I'm trying really hard not to sound like a sore loser here...and I know many Sox fans have become insufferable the last few years...but damn, I really feel the Indians fans have returned to their levels of douchebaggery last seen in the late 90's. They're just becoming awful again.

...and I was just starting to like this team.

  15. yeah...but so have a lot of Sox fans. That's what happens when the bandwagonners get on board...

Meanwhile, more runners left on base.

  16. Ugh- they'll be going to the bullpen soon. Had CC on the ropes all night and only got 2 runs.

    Could be bad...

  17. And some more great hitting by the bottom of the lineup.

I have to imagine that Ellsbury is in if they go to a right hander.

  18. ...of course, I was assuming CC was done after 102 pitches. Probably the first mistake Wedge has made all series.

  19. I was shocked to see him back in there, too...

Good inning. And I saw JD Drew grab a bat last inning. Kielty might be out. Please, please, please get Ellsbury in there...

  20. Wow - Drew, Crisp and Lugo load the bases.

Sure, it took an error on a potential DP ball, but whatever.

Goddamn I'm tired. 3 hours of sleep and work starts in 2.

    Good night.
