So 1-0 after one half inning (with a walk and error) not so bad. He gets his first inning and first K and first adversity over with. And worked out of a mini jam.n Could be much worse.
I'm only following on line. are you listening? what was the error?
Yeah its hard to tell by "watching" on line. He may be throwing great. Or maybe not. Two walks is not good. The first, okay maybe its nerves. But after getting staked a five run lead - throw strikes. And strikes have not been a problem for him in the minors.
The amazing thing about that Gagne performance was he through about 30 pitches, alot of them were strikes and he got one swing and miss (Vladi on the first pitch of the AB).
Earl. You are simply amazing. I have a call at 1PM and a meeting at 2PM. So I will try my best to post, but I will be a bit distracted.
ReplyDeleteThe amazing website is... well... yea... I don't have the words...
I am in meetings until 2:30 or so...I should be able to do some posting after that...
ReplyDeleteGo Clay!!!
A better question is why were you googling two headed turtle?
ReplyDeleteThe future is now. Well, not really, but perhpas a glimpse into the future.
I am here for the next 80 minutes.
X - too lazy to log in
A walk, not good. I'm sure Figgins will be off soon.
ReplyDeletegreat, big error early.

Just one run scored, not Clay's fault. Cy Lackey on the mound...
ReplyDeletePAPI
ReplyDeleteSox hit for the cycle by 0.1 IP...
ReplyDeleteWent to the crapper for three minutes and came back and its 5-1. Maybe I shold go back in....
ReplyDeleteEven Cora gets a double. Sox are slugging 1.667 so far.
ReplyDeleteTek's catching now. Is Mirabelli hurt?
ReplyDelete"BOSTON CATCHER DOUG MIRABELLI LEFT THE GAME IN THE TOP OF THE SECOND INNING WITH AN APPARENT RIGHT LEG INJURY"
ReplyDeleteNot good. Especially today. Maybe they will call up a catcher for game 2 instead of Elsbury.
Wily Mo Pena for Piazza!!!!
ReplyDeleteOk, that isn't going to happen...
Holy Crap!
ReplyDeleteAnd by that I mean, Longo you should spend all the Red Sox games on the crapper for the first inning.
1 Run, 2 BB, 1 H, 1 k in 2.0 Innings... it's a start... I feel like it's shaky but I honestly have no clue.
ReplyDeleteLooks ok to me...Especially since he is 23!
ReplyDeleteI hope that there isn't retaliation for the pinging of Manny (even though it was sort of on purpose)...
Wily Mo to the Nationals - figures since Bowden loves him and traded for him before. PTBNL is someone pretty low in the system.
ReplyDeleteAt least they did not give Wily Mo a tow year extension before he completely crapped the bed (like Cincy did with Brandon Arroyo).

ReplyDeleteEspecially when its a .190 hitter.
ReplyDeleteAnd of course I will firmly plant my ass on the can tonight around 7:15 EDT.
ReplyDeleteX, only if you lived around Boston...You could have a nice Anna's burrito and be all set for 7 tonight.
ReplyDeleteI am watching on tv. He doesn't look over powering, but he looks poised.
ReplyDeleteOne thing CA is not lacking is good mexican food. I'll make sure to have a good lunch and I should be good and ready game two.
ReplyDeleteAlthough, I'm not sure if this is really a tradition I need to bee starting.
How fast does the NESN gun have him throwing?
Oh dear.... this doesn't look good.
ReplyDeleteLooks like he got out of trouble, but still the lead has dwindled.
ReplyDelete2 down for Paps in the 9th...
ReplyDeleteNice work! That is the way to start things off!
ReplyDeleteI don't know what the gun was saying...but his change-up was his out pitch...
ReplyDeleteDamn. My body clock is off a bit. I bet the Sox hit some mammoth HRs in batting practice....
ReplyDeleteCouldn't hold out until 7:15.
...and it shows. Erven Santana with 3 innings of no-hit ball...
ReplyDeleteAs Daisy just said, "Fuck YEAH!"... to lazy to sign in... IBID
ReplyDeleteAw crap, tying run on 3rd, 1 out.
ReplyDeleteGagne's really been nothing to write home about so far, huh.
...and we have a tie game. Awesome.
ReplyDeleteSacre blew another save. I'm going to bed.
ReplyDeleteGagne makes my head hurt - IBID
ReplyDeleteThis is just silly... UGH

ReplyDeleteHe was not fooling anyone.
Saving my poop today for 4:15 come hell or high water.
