Mets finally fired Willie Randolph. It's wild that a year ago they were the best team in baseball, and essentially suck now. Even wilder that he lasted three years. Check out our post (and comments) from Pedro's first Spring Training Start in 2005: Mets = Disaster Waiting To Happen. (The followup post is pretty good too.)
[Dudes: this website is dying.]
I second your thought. We are really letting the GYS slip. Anyone up for a live game blog tonight?
ReplyDeleteYour second post on Pedro is ridiculously funny. Also did you ever contact Evan from Firebrand?
Ok.. so that earlier post was me. But that would be hott if Lindsay posted on GYS. I've given up trying.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, so I mentioned a live game blog. Funny thing. I went to a surprise party instead. Good chili and CAKE.
So I am kicking off in the middle. Lugo just redeemed himself with a homer over the monster. His second career against Lohse.

ReplyDeleteManny hits into a double-play... another impressive managerial decision by Larussa. Who by the numbers has an impressive sounding career. Third most all time for managerial wins and one of two managers to win the WS in both the AL and NL.
ReplyDeleteRed Sox pick up a run, but Mike Lowell strikes out to end the 7th.
ReplyDeleteLet's hope the Sox head into Sweet Caroline only down by one.
Oki-pokey... dinger for Molina... are you kidding me?
ReplyDeleteOk.. that totally sounded like I am whining. But I am sad the darkman is clearly not as affective as last year.
